ARE YOU COACHABLE?
This program will demand a great deal physically, but also mentally from you-athletes who want to train under Joy must display these qualities, regardless of physical prowess:
the ability to take direction. Modifications to the program can be made, but come willing to learn and improve upon weak links in your movement patterns, strength, etc-a true athlete will work on these. Creating longevity and strength in the body is a process-patience and consistency creates success.
The majority of the training takes place in a group-respect for your training partner and Coach means you're on time, come with a positive mindset, and demonstrate good sportsmanship when sparring or grappling.
to get where you need to be will take EFFORT-the intensity levels will take you out of your comfort zone. You will be using unfamiliar tools and training techniques-not everything you will do at first will come easily-if you are overly anxious, impatient, get angry easily, this program is not for you- I will tell you honestly when you need to work harder, improve your form, and focus on the task at hand. A focused, determined mind is what is needed most to succeed.
